Dial-A-Battery sponsors Desert Stinker event.

The 2nd Dial-A-Battery Desert Stinker took place in the beautiful desert in Al Qudra area of Dubai, where runners of all nationalities gathered for two days of adventure in the dark and through the dunes, camping overnight and enjoying the morning’s activities for kids.

The event was organized on 27th – 28th November 2015 and more than 200 participants took part.

The race started at 7:00pm and the participants headed off in the dark with their headlamp on a flat but challenging course. They returned to camp for food and fun and to prepare for the morning’s 07:00am run over the dunes along a marked course. Participants could choose from 5k, 10k or 20k distance.
Everyone enjoyed the winter weather and tranquility of the desert with family and friends.

 

Dial-A-Battery provided individual tents for runners to sleep in and also a service tent was set up for participants to get a free 4-point Battery check of their vehicles.

Dial-A-Battery helps contribute towards providing UAE labourers with a Happy Eid.

More than 500 labourers have received gift packs comprising of toiletries donated from Dial-A-Battery on the occasion of Eid Al Adha. Labourers from 10 camps across Sharjah and Dubai have been given packs comprising of a toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, nail clippers, razors and shampoo as part of Dial-A-Battery’s community outreach program.

Additionally, the local roadside rescue service has organised a brief talk detailing the importance of good hygiene practices, to be delivered by a pharmacist from Alpha Pharmacy. “We hope that this little gift will provide not only useful items for the hard workers, but also be a celebration in the spirit of the joyous occasion of Eid Al Adha,” said Asad Badami, Managing Director of Dial-A-Battery.

“Dial-A-Battery is pleased to be able to contribute to our community in this way, and we will continue in the spirit and essence of giving throughout the year, not only during holy occasions. Our intention is to give back to the community in which we operate, and these efforts will be on-going,” Badami added.

Dial-A-Battery is a roadside car battery rescue service that provides battery solutions at car owners’ doorsteps, saving them the time and effort of having to visit a garage to replace a dead automotive battery.
